Who is 4XOTC?

Hi, I am Adam, a 16 year old student from England. You may know me online as 4XOTC or vbwxcx.

Why did you create this website?

I never really enjoyed any creative subjects at school, like English or art, because I would always get something wrong. Here, I can be creative, customise my website however I want, and it will all be mathematically perfect.

I wanted to learn HTML to challenge myself: it has always been one of my main aspirations to have a website. I hope one day it inspires someone else to make their own.

What are you interested in?

Spanish

I LOVE the Spanish language, specifically Castillian Spanish. It was my favourite subject at GCSE, mainly because I was good at it (I got Grade 9) and I'm taking it for A-level. I really want to be fluent one day and move to a Spanish-speaking country. My favourite thing about the Spanish language is the tenses. I love how they are (somewhat) consistant with easy-to-remember irregulars.

Computer Science and IT

I love everything to do with computers, and I am a collector of old hardware with old operating systems. I collect DVDs and CDs from my local charity shop and eBay. In my IT class, I am learning about databases, and I made one myself!

Linux

I'm actually typing this using a laptop running Linux Mint, one of my favourite operating systems. If you are fed up of Windows messing you about, trying to get you to upgrade and pay for cloud storage, 10,000 pop-ups on your screen, then I would recommend switching to an easy-to-use Linux distribution like Linux Mint. Yes, it does take some getting used to, but overall it is worth it. Plus, you get way more storage freed up (primary and secondary) since Linux operating systems usually don't contain the bloatware that Windows does. This makes it suitable for older computers. Try it!

Coding

In my free time, I really enjoy programming in Python and building on this website with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I'm still really proud of myself for making the ranked list in the Music page.

What courses are you taking at college?

As you probably gathered from above, I am taking A-level Spanish, A-level Computer Science and AAQ IT. In my second year, I will also be doing Core Maths, which I'm pretty sure is an AS-level.
